Do male 100-km ultra-marathoners overdrink?
It is believed that the load associates associated hyponatremia increasingly occurs at high fluid intake. This should be the case especially for slower runners. We now found that the faster runners feed more fluid at a 100 km run than the slower runners, and yet that did not lead to accumulation of cases of stress-associated hyponatremia.
